BlogTalk Update

We changed our minds about what to use on BlogTalk, so now we’ve got a fully functional vB forum that’s starting to accept members. Back to 2.6 for me.

I just screwed everything up with a svn update on 2.7 and messed everything up. So yeah, something went wrong with Akismet. So I’m back on wp2.6.1 and my SVN broke. I think I might just stay still on it now, even though I prefer the backend on the new version.

How much advertising is too much?

I hate ads. I’ve probably mentioned this already, but in the last few months, I’ve realised just how much I dislike them. I only place them on websites where it is necessary, and that’s unusual.

A Quickpress

This is just an aside that I wrote without even going to the write page. The new 2.7wp has a quickpress on the homepage, so, naturally, I’m trying it out.

MediaTemple: A Few Weeks In

I’ve been sharing a MediaTemple account with Donald Kelly for a few weeks now. On the whole, it’s been a positive experience, apart from a few really annoying little problems (one of which keeps coming back, I’ma phone them about that).
Uptime wise, with checks every 20 minutes, it seems that fused has had 100% connectivity. [...]

BlogTalk starting to come together

BlogTalk, my latest project (with Donald and Donace), is starting to come together. I’m working on the template, getting colours and layout right. I hope to launch the site midway through September.
