Doh!

I think I ruined my phone today. While at the Yacht Club, waiting around for sailing, I managed to end up in the sea, fully clothed, with my phone, camera, wallet and keys in my pocket. Luckily, only my phone was damaged, my camera lives to see another day.

I went for a blast in a sports-boat owned by a friend, and came back in to pick something up quickly. I was holding the boat while stood on a landing platform on the jetty, waiting for another friend to get off. The boat moved away a bit with the tide, I lost my footing, and fell in the water. In true style, honest.

So my phone seems to be fried, my SIM was ruined, but I changed that over almost immediately. The phone powers up but the backlight flickers, and the keys are intermittent, and it thinks I’m pushing the wrong keys, so it’s impossible to get anything done.

I only got the phone two weeks ago, off of eBay. It’s a Nokia N80, and I really liked it - I may buy another one, I’m not 100% sure yet. Until then, I’m phoneless. So calling me is a waste of time.
