Backing Up

Something happened today that made me so glad that from the first time I had my own pc, my parents taught me to back up everything. One of the best things I ever learned, technology wise.

Something got glitchy today on my laptop (still not found out what it is), and when I stuck my pendrive in with all my 6th form work on it, it decided to format it. Thanks to the backups I’ve been keeping all the time on Gmail and S3, I only lost one piece of work, which I quickly replaced. Had I not backed up, I’d have lost.. all my work, which’d have taken forever to copy up.

The same mentality extends to my blog, which gets backed up daily using some cool S3 thing that someone called Dan Coulter made. I’m sure that’ll save my backside sometime soon :P
